The sommelier Josep Roca, co-owner of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca and considered the best restaurant in the world, and the journalist and renowned gourmet José Ribagorda, delighted with the Octopus to Feira de O Carballliño, highlighting both the intense flavor and the kind texture of this dish, famous throughout the world, and of which the Carballiñesa town is its capital. These two international characters attended the awards of the DO Ribeiro awards, in the monastery of San Clodio, where Josep Roca received the honorary prize of this DO.
At the awards ceremony, a cocktail was offered to the attendees, with products from the different Galician denominations, and where the octopus was the star, with its own gastronomic corner in the cloister of the monastery, which was visited by all Attendees, and praised at the same time. This was a first step in the presentation in society of the new edition of the Festa do Pulpo, which this year is dedicated to Galicians living in Catalonia, something that graciously drew attention to the sommelier Roca.
The mayor of Tourism Pilar Caride was the host in this gastronomic corner, and took advantage of the presence of journalists specialized in culinary and gastronomic press to invite them to know the party, the second Sunday of August and, of course, to try the Octopus to Feira.
